My refection on Restorative Practices:  I found the sessions very interesting especially looking at the "  4 windows," and  thinking about my family. At school I am using the simple prompts in the playground and also in classroom context.  The big shift for me is allowing more wait time and knowing when to begin dialogue between the children involved in incidents.  Sometimes children need quite some time to cool down before you could ever think to begin restorative practices.  On all occassions that i have used a form of these practices it has been very successful. Kia ora for this PD!

  1. I agree Marion, often we as teachers jump right in and put the right words into the children's mouths or thoughts. It's great to hear that you have had successful restorative chats. Keep up the good work.
